It's that time of year when I'm relied on to host the family get togethers which are normally buffet style. Today this cool gadget I discovered online, arrived which I can't wait to try out in the lead up to the festive season. A Lazy Susan for rectangular and longer tables. A top investment! www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7zT8sKLaXo

That is s pretty cool gadget, although it would not really work when we have family gatherings. Usually there are 20 to 30 of us out of the 75 or so in my immediate family, so they really do just get to walk around the buffet in the center of my kitchen on the island. Seating then becomes an issue so, tables are set up in the game room for the kids or overflow that won't fit at the dining or kitchen tables.

That is a lovely and good sized kitchen island for sure. Our gatherings have calmed down over the last couple of years as my siblings have started to gather sons and daughters in law and grandchildren. It's too much for me to keep hosting the lot. Our dining room table can be extended to seat 12 and I made sure to get 2 expansion packs which will double the length of the Lazy Susan I've bought.

I've just been on Amazon again and ordered 2 of these for my sons for Christmas. AmazonI hope your sons aren't of my age and build. Sorry but in my mid 50's and 225 lbs, I would not trust a collapsible stool to keep my butt from landing squarely on the ground with some sort of pain involved. Looks cool, but not for me.

Have faith in the science, wolf. The load bearing capacity cited is 330lbs (150kgs). My 31 year old son is 6ft 2in and your weight as well. He is where I got the idea as he goes to a lot of outdoor concerts and shows and always complains about having to get up off the ground with his dimensions.

I don't wear glasses myself but my husband always has this problem and I thought this seems like a 'cool gadget' that gets good reviews.

Probably not ideal for a Christmas time presents in the northern hemisphere but down here we are coming into BBQ season big time. These look like a great idea.
mmm, I'm also loving the look of these along the same lines... Kabob grilling baskets

It is always BBQ season in Texas. Besides, I am not fond of turkey. Christmas dinner usually consists of steaks for us.
