Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. --- 2 Thessalonians 2:15 For such false apostles are deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. --- Galatians 1:8
I'm particularly struck by St Paul's referring to "we". He is saying that even if "we" --- the Apostles! (whom else could he have been talking about?) --- teach contrary to the Gospel, "we" are anathema.
Just words to ponder. You can never get too deeply into the Bible.
