News today on the SSPX front: linkThoughts? In my little corner of the world, it won't have much impact going forward as the membership in an SSPX chapel is banned, under pain of excommunication, in the Diocese of Lincoln.

I only ever knew one person who got married at an SPPX chapel. She made a big point of telling me that the Norvo Ordo was the Mass of Satan. Since then, I don't give them any thought whatsoever. There is one church in the metro area.....but none of us at this parish know anyone who travels there.

Saw this on a Traditionalist website last night, but was too tired to post it. Pope Francis is certainly pulling out all the stops when it comes to getting them back on board. - making the acceptance of Vatican II negotiable - restoring their faculties for Confession - assisting them in acquiring a potential new HQ in Rome - and now, this. This is possibly the best offer they'll ever get in this day and age, and I think they should take it, as they can be a positive influence in some circumstances, and it would also give them a credibility edge over the numerous and increasingly schismatic "recognize and resist" or sedevacantist groups that are invading the Catholic blogosphere and "alternative media". Interestingly, in my part of the world, their relations with the official Church seem to be far less adversarial: www.facebook.com/indiatlm/photos/gm.1817767165140959/1839144039668517/?type=3&theaterHere is the official document from the Vatican website: press.vatican.va/content/salastampa/en/bollettino/pubblico/2017/04/04/170404d.html
