Well last Tuesday my son was feeling bad and tested for Covid.
On Saturday, the wife tested positive.
Yesterday I spent most of the day in bed, I tested negative yesterday and attributed it to bush hogging for 6 hours on Friday at Boy Scout Camp. Well today I tested positive.
Luckily, it is not serious, and is presenting like a summer cold for all of us. Didn't stop us from going to the office for a little while today. We just put a sign on the door to let folks know. Luckily no one actually came in today.

Have you had your vaccines? Hopefully it won't be too bad for you all. Our house was hit this week as well. My husband tested positive on Saturday and today I have a scratchy throat and stuffy nose but tested negative this morning. I'll try again tomorrow. We decided to get the 4th vaccine before we left on our trip so praying that we don't get it too bad.

It isn't too bad, I feel much better today than I did yesterday. Hopefully by the end of the week we will all be back to normal. My son is fit to be tied. He had his wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago and that had him down for a week, now this is his second week of being cooped up at home. He is dying to be able to go hang out with the fraternity brothers at the house. I told him maybe by his days off of work on Thur, and Friday he can go. Oh to be young again.

I'm joining your club. I've tested positive today as well. My husband is nearly over it and is out mowing the grass. I'm definitely going to get the antiviral meds today just to be on the safeside.

So far as I am aware, nobody in our home has had it, though last September, something happened to me, and I was dead to the world for two weeks, congested, could barely move, hurt all over (though no fever, I don't run fevers), couldn't go to Mass or anywhere else. I took two home COVID tests, one was negative, the other one was ambiguous --- not to TMI, but it got too moist and was basically illegible. Then one day it left just like it came.
Just the other day I was feeling unwell, and took another home test, came back negative.
I've had two of the Pfizer shots plus a booster. Not sure I'm going to fool with a second booster. I go maskless unless I am absolutely forced to wear one, such as was the case the other day when I went to the Social Security office downtown. When will this end?

I couldn't stand it any more. I had to start doing something, so I got up this AM. swapped blades on the big mower, and mowed for a couple of hours. Went to look at some tractor implements afterwards. Got all cleaned up, and after dinner, had to go back to the shop and work on putting some lights on the tractor I bought about a year ago. This sitting around waiting to feel better just doesn't go over well with me. I have been tired, and a little chest congestion, but not too bad. The wife on the other hand, is still feeling kind of bad. I just hope I didn't get too hot today and cause this stuff to drag out longer. I soaked through 2 sets of clothes today with sweat. Stella, How are you doing with the anti viral meds? Are they helping? Doctor had me on a steriod, but after 30 hours of the hiccups, I gave it up. I will trade a little tightness in the chest for being able to sleep any day.

When I woke up the following morning I felt better than the day before and decided to wait to go to the dr for a prescription. This morning my symptoms - sore throat and runny nose had cleared up nearly completely so I did another RAT test thinking I'd made a mistake, but still showing a strong positive. My conclusion is either the fourth vaccine or the red wine we have been drinking each evening which we brought home from our trip (Barossa Valley, South Australia)... has been the remedy? I'd definitely recommend trying the antiviral if you qualify though. My sister in law works in a large medical center and swears by them.

Guess I was one of the earlier cases. Diagnosed in November, 2021 around Thanksgiving. Went to the Dr. He gave me some antibiotics. Seems it helped, but not like I expected. Went back. He sent me to one of the big hospitals. They dx Covid and wanted to admit me. I pardoned myself and suggested I go home and come back if I felt worse. I didn't want any of the remedies then being given; vent and remdesivir; both of which can be deadly.
Felt kind of fatigued for three days. Stayed in "self-quarantine" the full ten days, and that was that. Never got the vaccine and never got Covid again.
My wife is an RN and would not take the vaccine for anything, so I didn't either. Besides, it's uncertain whether one who has had Covid should take the vaccine. Haven't been sick since. Lots of people around here have been diagnosed, but I wonder how many really have (had) Covid. My wife never got it, though we took no precautions when I had it. I'm guessing she was one of those asymptomatic cases and is now immune.
I honestly don't know what to make of it. My wife has convinced me that taking RNA that can alter your DNA is not a really good idea. I'm inclined to think she has to be right about that. The vaccines are all DNA-changers. I don't like that. A lady I know received full disability from the army because of MS. The army really accepts the idea that the massive and multiple vaccines one gets if one goes overseas can give you MS. The lady told me she knew several former soldiers who got disability because of ssrvice-acquired MS from vaccines.
Oh, in the interests of fairness, I should perhaps mention that I raise cattle and treat them with Ivermectin pour-on frequently. Can't help getting it on me when I do.
