In light of the latest vulgar troll I suggest we make a joint pact to to ignore their threads until Clare can deal with them. These twits thrive on attention and will only get more and more offensive.

I agree that the best response is NNTR to get them zipped up. š¤ It won't make them go away but lets not feed them either.

But think of the baby goats under the bridge! How will they get fed! More seriously, whoever this interesting individual is it is indeed better to just ignore it. He or she (and I'd put good money on it being male) will just get bored after a bit with some luck.

tisbearself , I think you said you have Clare's email? Could you contact her again? It's sorely needed. I'd like to suggest, and you can pass on my sentiments to her, that CCS functionality needs to be modified to disallow "guest" postings, as well as allowing posts to be flagged as inappropriate, and find some way to screen users --- if that's even possible --- to keep bad actors out in the first place. She also needs to delete all of the bad posts that have been made in recent days. I've actually found the various aspersions upon my intelligence and character to be kind of amusing, but that said, they are sins against the Fifth and Eighth Commandments (should we ever find sins amusing?), and have no place here. I've had worse things said about me, so this is nothing new.

I've had worse things said about me, so this is nothing new. Unfortunately whoever this is doing this under all these various aliases is strikes me as likely to have something of a vendetta. Bearself has plainly peed him of and they have a history it would seem. To be honest I left her site myself as I found her style of moderation heavy-handed. But it was simply easier to stop talking to her and cut communication than engage in a childish vendetta worthy of a teenager on a rampage. If you don't get on with someone or can no longer do so then move on. If whoever this is has time to waste posting stuff about 'buttholes' and all sorts of other junk then it shows a puerility of a special kind. Whoever it is is exploiting the fact this is a quite old school style forum where if you use a VPN you re-register and post nonsense endlessly. Last time I saw this done was on a forum devoted to Irish politics set up by a group trying to get Unionists and Nationalists to engage in dialogue - brave experiment, doomed to failure. As it got overwhelmed by nonsense by bigots from both sides.

Is Professor Q, the site administrator, no longer around? Can't he deal with these sad people?

Leaving aside the reams of idiocy this person or persons is coming out with the stuff about Terry Davis is annoying. A lot of people won't be familiar with him -but he was a computer programmer who is also seen as an outsider artist. He also had a long and painful history with mental illness and the why someone is using his name for the 'lolz' is unfunny.

Everything written about Terry on this forum has been in support of God's favorite programmer. Sure he had a mental illness, but let me ask you something you illiterate hick (given by the fact you can't even spell governor right), when was the last time you programmed from the ground up your own Computer Operating System designed to worship God? At least Terry clung to his faith even after he was denied help for his condition. That man is a saint! How dare you! You must be one of the glow in the darks he warned us about.

My spelling of 'governor' is derived from British slang. Now close your north and south and take your boatrace somewhere else me old son. You must be having a bubble if you think cheap bait like that will get me to do anything but chortle. Jog on. Terry's death was tragic and I'm not going to demean that tragedy by cheapening his life by entering into a game of back and forth with a plonker. Wotcher Mate.

Indeed, which means you split it wrong moron because slang isn't real English you illiterate country bumpkin.
> Now close your north and south and take your boatrace somewhere else me old son.
Only after you close your East and West, German!
> You must be having a bubble if you think cheap bait like that will get me to do anything but chortle.
No I prefer showers.
> Jog on.
Oh that explains why you mangle words, you write while you are jogging. Got it.
> Terry's death was tragic and I'm not going to demean that tragedy by cheapening his life by entering into a game of back and forth with a plonker.
I never claimed that Terry's death wasn't tragic, you illiterate country bumpkin. That man should be canonized and you know it. You just want to deny that Terry was the greatest Saint of this century because you're upset that you'll never be half the man he was.
> Wotcher Mate.
Yes, Worcestershire sauce is good.

Stella and all, Iāve been busy for the last week so just saw this post now. I will check with Clare but Iām not sure how much functionality this platform even has to screen new accounts or disable guest posting. In the meantime itās a simple matter of stepping over the piles of road apples. The āblockā function is quite helpful in this regard. As my old fifth grade teacher Sister Helen Marie said, āBabies must play!ā

They mean this bloke Bear, I'm familiar with him as he was bit of a fringe figure who would sometimes get mention in computer magazine articles and on gaming forums etc. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_A._DavisTerry was a Catholic who became atheist and then turned back to Catholicism. He struggled with mental health issues for many years and even if many people thought some of what he was saying was odd or weird they were often willing to cut him a lot of slack due to his genuine interest in what he was doing and because his style of doing it harked back to a world in computing before the large corporations became involved when bedroom level coders etc. could produce something of interest or game-changing. I've struggled on and off with mental health issues throughout my adult life and so I felt the man's loss was a tragic death indeed when he passed.
