Father McVerry has spoken at length recently about how overwhelmed the charity he helps in Ireland the Peter McVerry trust is becoming due to issues with homelessness. Monday morning saw over 4,000 eviction orders issued in Ireland and the state has never had such a high level of homeless people post-independence. Prayers are sought for some end to this growing crisis.
