CAF members will recognize this thread. We go through every mystery, in order. Each participant posts the next prayer.
St. Bede launched the perpetual Rosary with these words: [We'll] start with the Apostles’ Creed, to be followed by the Lord’s prayer by another person, then Hail Mary by another one, and so on… One bead per individual. You may repeat as many times as you want. You may even state your prayer intention for each bead, if you wish. We’ll commence with the Joyful Mysteries, followed by the Luminous, then the Sorrowful, and finish it with the Glorious. At the end of each set of mysteries, we’ll immediately proceed to the next one, until we have completed the “Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Heaven”, only then, shall we say the Salve Regina and ending prayer. (You may even type your prayers in Latin, or in your mother tongue, so as to encourage unity among us brothers and sisters across the globe).
Glorious Mysteries: Opening Prayers
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit;
born of the Virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again
from the dead;
He ascended into heaven;
and is seated at the right hand
of God the Father almighty.
From there, He will come to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.
