Enigma in small AL town: Christian church, religious cult or a political ploy? An interesting occurrence is happening to Warrior, AL. Although this may be an isolated incident, I bring this different topic to the forum to pique thoughts about what if something like this were to happen in your locale. Or have you encountered a proposed take over by some outside entity already?
The Church International has spent more than $6 million buying up property in Warrior, a small town in the hills north of Birmingham, Alabama. They also spent another $2 million on a house and large property in neighboring Trafford. Local residents are concerned what this organization's ultimate goal is for their rural village that has been accumulating property there since 2021. Who has been the initial backers of Church International? Why did the self proclaimed church's prophet become involved with political predictions concerning Trump and about Trump's rally in DC on 1/6/21? Below are links to AL.com articles discussing this mysterious church and its outreach.
Also included below those AL.com articles is a local Birmingham, AL radio/TV talk show called Rick and Bubba who discuss what they know about this affair. It is a YouTube video, that's 3 segments long for a total of 23 minutes. Rick and Bubba are just "good old Southern boys" who have been broadcasting their views about anything and everything since 1/1994. Rick and Bubba are Southern Baptist Christians and doubt that the International Church should be considered as a valid Christian denomination. Love 'em or hate 'em, Rick and Bubba can be entertaining or controversial but offer their own interesting view especially for those unfamiliar with life in the South.
