On this All Saints' Day, in which we ask for the intercession of the Church Triumphant in heaven, both known and unknown, let's pray to all the holy Saints of God for the Christian leaders of Russia and Ukraine. Through the development of bilateral relations, ecclesial communion, and ecumenical dialogue, may the Christian leaders of Holy Russia and God-saved martryed Ukraine help bring about peace in the countries, dear to all Christian souls, of Russia and Ukraine.
In particular, let's pray to all the holy saints of the Russian and Ukrainian lands: St Sergius of Radonezh, St Seraphim of Sarov, St Theodosius of Kiev, and all holy martyrs and saints of the Catholic Apostolic Church who shone in holiness and truth in the lands of Holy Russia and Ukraine.
We pray in particular for the esteemed holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill; the Orthodox Metropolitan of Kyiv, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy; the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church His Beatitude Sviatoslav; and the Catholic Archbishop of Moscow Pavel Pezzi. May they remain true to the faith of the Church, and struggle against the easy temptations of the world to despair and hatred. Rather, may they embrace love and forgiveness.
Holy Saints of God! Intercede before the Lord Jesus to end this terrible war, which the forces of evil unleashed upon peaceful Christian nations!
Through the apostolic ministry of the Church, may the holy saints of God reconcile in love and peace the Christian peoples of Russia and Ukraine - that together they may live together without enmity, as fraternal brotherly peoples, which they truly are, being born out of the same Kyiv font of holy baptism.
