I just feel that as a man I feel closer to female saints than male saints. What do you think of this logic?

If a man had a 'devolution to a female Saint' I would think that might be a particularly odd Star Trek episode or sci-fi story. Shades of James Blish meets C.S. Lewis.

I'm grateful when I make a mistake in another language and a native speaker corrects my error. I hope it improves the way I speak that language. In that spirit I would like to point out, Zerg, that you probably meant to write 'devotion'. i.e. to be worship or observe. The word you used, 'devolution', means to transfer power to a lower level.

Assuming you meant "devotion", Zerg, considering that St Louis de Montfort loved Our Lady and St John Vianney was devoted to St Philomena, you're in good company.
There are also plenty of women with strong devotions to male saints. I feel very drawn to St John Henry Newman myself. I am unconcerned with his gender.

Sorry for the spelling error, I did mean “devotion”.
This topic is awkward because it kind of feels like oversharing would ruin my love and devotion for certain saints. Thank you for your replies.

It used to be common in Ireland up until quite recently to find boys who had names like Patrick Mary or Joseph Mary where a parent would insert Mary as the middle name to indicate respect for the Virgin. A famous example of that is this gent whose name appears on the Proclamation of Independence in 1916

Devotion to a saint or saints is good. It's better than none. I don't think the gender matters. My strongest devotion is to St Joseph and St Benedict. Their sex has nothing to do with it. I just feel a strong devotion to these two saints. St Antony also comes in useful when I've lost something!
