Makes you think. I'm not going to go so far, as to endorse a presumably unapproved private revelation, but all of these events that are described here, well, make of them what you will.

Of course, with Francis at the helm, and Fernandez by his side, what could possibly go wrong? The whole "discernment" thing, you know.

Yes, but nobody ignores a strategically-placed lightning bolt.

I'd halfway look for Team Francis (Where Peter Is et al) to claim either that this is fake news, or that enemies of this Pope vandalized the statue themselves, and just claimed it was struck by lightning.

This is getting really bad. More and more people, even those who are otherwise accepting of the modern Church, are losing their docility and willingness to accept "discernment", with this whole Fiducia supplicans thing.. What in the world is Rome going to do?
