www.lifesitenews.com/news/canon-lawyer-fr-murray-sspx-is-not-in-schism-their-masses-can-fulfill-sunday-obligationFiled under "something I already knew"... I have never met Fr Murray, but I ran into him one time at a CUF conference, just exchanged greetings in passing, didn't get into conversation. Anything he says, you can pretty much take to the bank. They could elect him Pope any time and I'd be great with it. And it's worth noting that, from time to time, the SSPX has operated with the approval of the local bishop. To tell the truth, the SSPX's level of cooperation is one thing that gets them in dutch with more hard-line traditionalists. I have no issue with it, in fact, I welcome it, and would approach them for Mass and sacraments with no hesitation whatsoever. The only reason I don't do so now, is that I have a diocesan TLM option closer to home. I've driven two hours to Mass before, and I could do it again, if it came to that, not every week, I have a liturgically conservative Novus Ordo parish I attend when there's no TLM in my area, such as on weekdays. Coming from a hobby broadcasting background, and having always been an avid follower of that industry (my mother always lamented that I didn't get into it, so I would have had a line of work I truly enjoyed), the closest thing I could compare it to, would be an unlicensed radio or television station that fulfills a valuable public service function, but doesn't have all of its paperwork in order, for whatever reason. There's a small TV station in rural Kentucky that does precisely this. Homely example, but my point should be clear: www.tv10morehead.com/
