For my birthday my husband ordered a St. Theresa of Avila statue and rosary.
I received the st. Avila rosary but a Little Flower statue. So in my mind She chose me!

I think I would have just been irritated that I got the wrong one. 🙂 Dominus vobiscum

I have always been into St. Avila for her writings, interior castle and way of perfection. This is deep reading and reflection .
I think God is telling me to also look at the lighter side as St. Terese does in her little way.

Yup. I’m picky in what I buy and would have been annoyed. I bought three olive wood rosaries from a Catholic company and had them blessed. After getting home, noticed one rosary had a decade, with NINE beads. I understand man is not perfect, but “you had ONE job.” They had one left in stock, and sent me that one as a replacement. It had a chunk of the cross broken off/out. I make rosaries, and re-tied the good cross to the one with all the beads. I now have a broken cross, and a rosary-thing with 58 beads. I will most likely replace one of the “tail” pater beads with a different one, and add a cross. I could re-purpose the beads to make finger rosaries, and maybe burn/bury the remainder. Or, just use the leftovers as contrasting “paters” on a different made one. Dominus vobiscum
