I wish I had one to share with you but such consolations are not meant for me, it seems.

Actually, no. I've asked for all kinds of thing from a variety of saints, but all I get is silence. So I stopped asking. Still smiling, though! (It's complicated. Spiritual direction helps.)

My devotions are usually to Mary.
I know this sounds a bit unique, but I have gotten little stars. I'll find them in very unlikely places.

St. Ignatius of Loyola has been the biggest influence on my spiritual life. I did the Spiritual Exercises (19th Annotation) about 7 years ago, and they changed my life. Iggy was a genius, as far as I am concerned!!

I was reading "The Story of a Soul" last night. Today morning, a passer-by offered Q Junior a hibiscus. Thanks for the laugh, Saint Therese!

A few years ago, I had some wonderful students whose mother got put in a mental institution. (She was bi-polar and had gone off her meds in a very bad way). Toward the conclusion of her treatment, she began praying the St. Therese Novena, asking for a rose. I had no idea. Her youngest child came up to me in the school hallway and excitedly told me that she and her dad were going to go see her mother for the first time they would be allowed in a month...and that she hoped they would let her come home. For some reason, I decided to run to the florist and grab a rose. I had them wrap it really nicely, and put a little card with it that the little girl could write her name on, and made her promise not to tell her mother where it came from. I suppose you can guess what happened: they released her, and the next week at our rosary group, the woman reported that she had a received a rose from St. Therese through her little daughter.
Was very cool. I had no idea.
