........................................................................Matthew 24:30
At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

We will all experience God's holy light. Whether we experience His light as joy and inexplicable glory, or as insufferable torment, depends entirely on the state of our souls and our relationship to God as we depart from this life.

Reminds me of Dostoyevsky's "Grand Inquisitor" story.

Luke 21:25-28“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
In the context of faith, hope and charity, Christians should look upon the Son of Man with great joy.
