Dear friends,
I don't want you to think that I don't take into consideration your prayer requests. I read them daily. I just wanted to say that I don't necessarily respond to them on this site. You see I pray the Liturgy of the Hours daily, which is of course the prayer of the Entire Church for the Entire Church. I keep a paper list of all those familiar to me in need of prayers so that I don't forget anyone and I include an intention "for all those on this list" which I keep folded in my breviary. Of course the list also contains an intention for all my friends, virtual or real, and their friends and loved ones. When we come to the time for intentions during Lauds and Vespers, I simply add an intention for everyone on that list.
Otherwise, it would be a very long list indeed and I would still be typing it up. And if I didn't keep that list, for certain some intentions would become lost in the mists of time.
So I just wanted to say that yes, as a matter of habit I read your requests daily, and do my best to remember them when I pray the Hours! So don't be offended if I don't respond directly to each post, because I would have trouble keeping up with all of them!

Hope this isn't some residual That Other Place angst. I would not equate "no post" with "no prayer." It's all good. Be at peace, my friend!

ROPA!!! Love it! We need to sear that acronym on our memories lest we fall into our old habits. Whenever we become too stuck up, someone shout ROPA!!!

Does it mean I can't accumulate over 100,000 posts? Shucks. BTW, that young man is a very sweet person. No shade intended.

If you have the inclination, please pray for the repose of the soul of CHP Nathan Taylor, who died March 13, 2016 as the result of an accident the day before; and for his wife and three boys, and for his older brother (my son-in-law) and the rest of his family.
