Also, for something more subdued, a few of my students are in this choir: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfDVsi7VrXYThese are the lyrics: Rise, oh fathers, rise, let’s go meet’em in the skies, we will hear the angels singing in that morning.
Oh I really do believe that just before the end of time, we will hear the angels singing in that morning.
Rise, oh mothers, rise, let’s go meet’em in the skies, we will hear the angels singing in that morning.
Oh I really do believe that just before the end of time, we will hear the angels singing in that morning.
No time to tarry here, no time to wait for you, no time to tarry here, for I’m on my journey home.
Brothers, oh, fare ye well, brothers, oh, fare ye well, brothers, oh, fare ye well, for I’m on my journey home.
Sisters, oh, fare ye well, sisters, oh, fare ye well, sisters, oh, fare ye well, for I’m on my journey home.
No time to tarry here, no time to wait for you, no time to tarry here, for I’m on my journey home.

In the quiet morning time, just after I wake up, sometimes a song comes to mind. It comes unsought, not from the radio or other media. Is it my guardian angel singing? Today the song is You Are Mine (David Haas). www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sgm9lkTNQmc

I feel the same way about Take Lord, Receive.

I feel the same way about Take Lord, Receive. Oh you hit a chord in my heart, Clare! The verses of that hymn are so special to me. For a long time, I stumbled on them, since I couldn't pray them with my whole being. Finally, the day came when I committed them to the Lord with all my heart, and the blessing that followed was not of this earth. AMEN!

The melody is incredible. To hear a soloist sing it slowly and well just gives me chills

The melody is incredible. To hear a soloist sing it slowly and well just gives me chills For you and anyone else who is interested, here is the recording of it by the original artist, John Foley. Enjoy! The photo of the Good Shepherd is my avatar at TOP. I love it! Click the video red play button to begin it.

Glory to God, St. Louis Jesuit version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYUmmwQsvPoThe choir at the Newman Center at the University of Nebraska used to perform this on a regular basis in the early 1980s and sounded magnificent, despite having my "voice" in the mix. A second entry is "As I Kneel Before You", as performed by the combined choirs of Pius X High School in Lincoln, NE in 2013. The day before the concert, a student was attacked by another student in a bathroom at the school. The choirs performed the song as a prayerful support to both the victim and the assailant. It was an incredibly powerful, not-a-dry-eye-in-the-place-the-Holy-Spirit-was-really-moving experience. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc6LbkP_-GU

www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4loGMQqrgEComo No Creer en Dios I'm teaching this to the Spanish choir right now. Here's the words in English I took you from a very deep inside I found you in the bird and the flower, in the rain, in the earth and silence, and in my dreams every night you were. Since then, I want to thank you always because I can realize your love, I will drink of your body and your blood, and forever I will give you my heart. How (do you) not to believe in God if he has given me children and life. How not to believe in God if he has given me the woman dear. How not to believe in God if I feel it in my chest every moment in the laughter of a child in the street or in the tender caress of a mother. How (do you) not to believe in God if he is in the vineyards and the meek wheat. How could I not believe in God if he gave me the open hand of a friend How (do you)not to believe in God if he has given me the sadness and the joy of knowing that there is a tomorrow every day, by faith, by hope and love.

The translation is beautiful! As I listened to the song, I marveled that the rolling of the tongue is something I would have a problem with. LOL!

I'm telling you when it begins there's not one person who doesn't want to dance and sing it. The lyrics are super simple!
