I am upset that I was not taught that religion is about deeds, works and doing. Giving what is due to someone because it belongs to them.
This is very different from prayers to Our Lady of Fatima, which I love so much.
Please explain to me what is meant by religion. Is it for everyone? What is wisdom?

"Religion" might be described as anything that one does by conscious decision, by the force of the human will, and what is done habitually and for good reason.
Prayer is a substantial part of how one practices religion.

For Catholics it's celebrating mass and agreeing with the Aposles Creed it involves the sacraments. What you mention are works of mercy.
Prayer can be private, or in a prayer group or family.
I would get a Baltimore Catechism and sign up for RCIA.

Prayer is a part of religion. It is one of the things you do. Religion is both what you believe and what you consciously choose to do that stems from that belief. Prayer is talking to God.
