(Or Canticle of Canticles...)
I just read it using the ever-helpful notes from Bishop Challoner, and found it a wonderful allegory of the love that Christ has both for His Church, and the individual soul.
What are your experiences or perspectives?

What are your experiences or perspectives? This is a touchy one for me. After having to leave and be henceforth forever barred from the Religious Life due to my mental illness, I have since struggled to see God as a "Lover." I feel more like a "divorcee" of the Divine than a "beloved." To each their own I guess.
