Florida judge rules that Desantis does not have the authority to ban mask mandates in local school districts. apnews.com/article/lifestyle-health-education-florida-coronavirus-pandemic-1908088a0b5c5b02d89fd7e007822408Hopefully Florida will start to get control of the out of control spread of Covid, and the people there can stop their suffering. Texas isn't too far behind them. There aren't any empty ICU beds in the two hospitals in my town. Hopefully rationing of medical care is not in the future for our area. I sure hope so Farronwolf.

I'm wondering why people who refuse to follow precautions to prevent the spread of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavius 2 (contracted to SARS-CoV-2) which is the virus that causes Coronavirus Disease 2019 (contracted to COVID-19) refuse to follow those precautions. I wonder if any on here who do refuse can expalin objectively why they refuse to follow them. I cannot understand why people do not want to protect themselves, to protect other people, to reduce the burden on healthcare, to reduce the impact this pandemic is having on education and the economy. I am genuinely intrigued and want to hear calm and rational reasons for these choices.

These are some of the reasons we have heard here and across other Catholic forums concerning masks: They don’t ‘work’ Tons of studies ‘show’ they don’t ‘work’ There is no evidence they do ‘work’ They make people sick They are the source of all the pneumonia The actually spread more infections They are a source of contagion They are ‘immoral’ because they cover up God’s creation They cause children to develop anti-social behavior They are an infringement on freedom Just a few to get started. These are some of the claims. Now as to clear, calm, well reasoned argument to support these claims…different story…

(D) good, (R) bad?
Q: Did you agree with Obama's executive order forcing Catholic religious orders to pay for abortions?

OH, those Eeeeeevil Wepubwicans! Are there any democrat governors that draw your ire? What do you have to say about Cuomo, for example? He has been unmasked. Hand waiving, ‘whataboutism,’ red herrings, over the TV medical diagnosis…this seems to be the really serious adult discourse. You know…the really good stuff the establishment and the MSM are afraid to engage. Everyone knows what is to be said about Cuomo. He was told to go home and stop embarrassing the human race. Maybe it made an impact on him; he seems to have left his dog at the mansion so it can be cared for by a decent human being.

Q: Did you agree with Obama's executive order forcing Catholic religious orders to pay for abortions? What in the world are you talking about? Do you have trouble staying on topic, or do you just deflect the conversation because you got nothing to add to it?

Yep, Dems are pretty quick to call out the people in their party who cross certain lines, Cuomo didn't last long
Unfortunately Reps, with their supposed moral high horses, are not to anxious to do the same in their ranks.
BTW, I am an independent, and vote for the person, not a party, which requires me to actually think when picking particular candidates.

Lolz…did po18guy just go back, edit, and reformulate the original contribution to this thread? The original contribution was captured in the quoted replies. Those aren’t going to go away…but it was a neat try and adds some well needed levity.
The addition of an additional red herring was a pretty neat too!

Q: Did you agree with Obama's executive order forcing Catholic religious orders to pay for abortions? Since you can't stay on topic. Can you provide the Executive Order he signed forcing what you state. He did sign an EO stating no federal funds would be used for abortion. I am certain that isn't the one you are referring to.

My bad. I have a neurological issue that you are free to make fun of, as belittling the disabled seems to be great fun, huh? The actual MANDATE is in the so-called "Affordable Care Act" You remember that don't you? Forcing religious sisters to pay for abortion coverage? Do you remember? You must remember something... The Supreme Court (right wing - filled with Catholics) ruled 7-2 against Obama, Pelosi, Schumer et al that Obamacare violated civil rights. 7-2, the same but opposite percentage which found infanticide to be a "right" Here is something to refresh your memory: thelittlesistersofthepoor.com/#sistersSpin away!!!

Now I hear, perhaps a rumor that u will have to take 2 pills with Pfizer later on --a day .

I wasn't making fun of you, just simply asking that you stay on topic. You might refer to the other thread where you are making fun, (in my view) of Biden for what you perceive as an age related memory problem, although probably unfounded. And yes, I am aware that the ACA was responsible for the issue you brought up, was simply pointing out the error.
